Outspoken liberal John Cusack is developing a movie on right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Cusack’s production company, New Crime, made the announcement on Friday. They stated  they would begin development of the “Rush” project but gave no other details.

Limbaugh has a habit of making colorful and provocative comments live on radio and earlier this year he was at the center of “Slutgate” when he called a Georgetown law student a slut for using contraception.

Earlier this week he also mocked Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for his “bromance” with Barack Obama as they worked together following the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Although it is not known if Cusack will take on the role of Rush Limbaugh it would certainly be a challenge for makeup artists.

Recently Cusack starred in “The Raven” and is famous for movies such as “Sixteen Candles”, “Being John Malkovich” and “High Fidelity”.

Hollywood director Betty Thomas ("Hill Street Blues" and “Dream On”) is set to work on the “Rush” film. She told Huffington Post they are currently putting the finishing touches on the script and production will begin in 2013.
