Kristen Stewart might always be known as “Twilight’s” Bella Swan but it seems that she’s right on track to take a very different tack with her already very impressive career. The 22-year-old star is set to star in the comedy “Focus” alongside Ben Affleck.

Last week Stewart cleared up the rumors about the gig with Huffington Post. She said, “I can confirm that rumor…It's a comedy. I'm really excited about it. We start shooting in April."

Already Stewart has made a sharp turn away from the teen friendly movies of “Twilight” with the movie “On the Road” based on Jack Kerouac’s novel, but it’s also worth noting that this isn’t Stewart’s first foray into comedy. In 2009 she starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg in the romantic dramady “Adventureland.”

The plot of “Focus” follows Stewart’s character who is an “inexperienced con artist” who hooks up with Affleck. As it turns out the pair will have some pretty hot and heavy scenes too.

“Focus” is being written by “Crazy, Stupid, Love” duo, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were attached however it is of little surprise that Affleck and Stewart ended up together.

Previously Affleck had praised the young actress so it’s no surprise that they wound up being cast together. He recently told E! “I'm hesitant to get into casting stuff because I don't know what's finished or isn't because people come in and out of things all the time, but [Kristen's] terrific and hopefully it will work out.”
