Bridesmaids has been a huge hit at the U.S. box office so far with more than $110 million and counting, so now it’s time to try its luck in Europe.

The cast was in Dublin last week for the premiere, which served as a big homecoming for male lead Chris O’Dowd, originally from Co. Roscommon.

Everyone on set was captivated by his Irish charm, star and co-writer Kristen Wiig revealed. “Boys, girls, everyone loved him,” she said during a radio interview.

O’Dowd spent part of his time home showing his fellow castmates around.   “I do feel like I want everybody to have a good time,” he said.

Pictured in Dublin are co-star Melissa McCarthy (who’s also well-known from the CBS sitcom Mike and Molly), director Paul Feig, Wiig and O’Dowd.
