Bill O’Reilly, not a man who is known for his abundant compassion, has said on his blog that he fears that Lindsay Lohan will eventually kill herself through her excessive party girl lifestyle.

In his blog on Thursday the controversial, FOX, political commentator posted a blog saying “We should all pray for this woman, Lindsay Lohan. Her clock is ticking.”

He compared her apparent downward spiral to that to celebrity demises which were commonly seen during the 1960s suggesting that Lohan would follow in the same path as these great late stars.
He said “Back in the late 1960s, it seemed like every few weeks another rock star would drop dead. The big three, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison of the Doors, all died in their 20's from alcohol and drug related causes. Even bigger names like Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe abused themselves into early deaths.”

The veteran journalist spoke about his own experiences reporting on a Rolling Stones concert in 1979. He said that many of the stars on stage were intoxicated and much of the audience was treated for “gross intoxication”. He questions if anything has changed over the years.

O’Reilly went on to described Lohan’s career which started when she was just 11-years-old with the movies “The Parent Trap”. Now 23 he says she “is out of control”. He spoke about her two “Driving under the Influence” charges and also how “she has been used by a number of people for a long time”, namely her parents who profited from her movie success.

The obviously concerned commentator described her behavior over the last number of years as “looking lost and confused.”

This blog post comes just days after Lohan’s, as she calls him, “ex-father” appeared on CBS’s “The Early Show” voicing concerns that one of the main reasons that Lohan needs to be entered into rehab is because of her consumption of prescribed medication. O’Reilly similarly commented that “there’s only so much the justice system can do” when someone is in this kind of self-destruct cycle.

Last week Judge Marsha Revel ordered Lohan to wear a SCRAM ankle bracelet and submit drug and tests at least once a week but this will not prevent Lohan from taking prescription medication.

Who will save the young starlet? In despair he said “If history is any indicator, the answer is no one. Elvis had a big entourage around him and so did Michael Jackson. Both men perished with doctors actually assisting them.”

He concluded that the only person who can help Lohan is herself but she will have to wise up and take charge. On the other hand he said “some people want to die and slowly kill themselves.”

“Millions of American parents anguish over the sons and daughters who are caught in the vicious cycle of addiction,” said O’Reilly. “Therapy, rehab, and interventions all have little chance of success unless the addicted person uses their free will to fight their disease.”
