Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro made a whirlwind visit to Dublin last week to promote his newest film "Wolfman," which opens here next month.

Del Toro sat with Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy for a chat, and revealed that he’s a big fan of Irish music and writing.  (No big surprise there, right!)

The Puerto Rican actor ran through a list of his favorite musicians – Van Morrison, U2 and Mike Scott of the Waterboys – and writers, including George Bernard Shaw, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett . . . and a name that you may not automatically assume is Irish.

“One writer who really influenced me was Bram Stoker,” Del Toro said.  “Dracula is a masterpiece.”

That it is. And its author, Stoker, was born and raised in Dublin. Benicio knows his stuff!
