Heartthrob actor Robert Pattinson has revealed that a scene in his new movie "Remember Me" was inspired by a real life mugging that happened to his friend in New York City

The Twilight star told Celebrity Examiner that a scene in the move was taken from a real life experience.

“Like a friend of mine, the whole fight in the beginning, how that was all set up, it happened to a friend of mine the day before we did the rewrites to the script,’ said Pattinson.

“We were down in Alphabet City, and this guy jumped out of the car with a little mini baseball bat and just hit my friend in the face. The whole thing. It was literally the day before. The whole thing was put into the movie.”

Talk about art imitating life! The movie is due for release on March 12 and co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin (pictured above).
