30 Rock star Alec Baldwin has reportedly signed on to join the cast of director Woody Allen's next film, the Huffington Post reports.

Baldwin will join a lineup that includes Penelope Cruz and possibly Jesse Eisenberg, although the latter has not yet been confirmed.

The film will be shot in Rome and it's the second to which Baldwin has signed on in recent months; he is also under contract to play Dennis Dupree in the big screen adaptation of the hit musical, Rock of Ages.

But Baldwin says these projects could well be his swan song, as he says he plans to retire from acting in 2012.
