InternshipsEU, formed over 12 months ago, has just launched its 2014/2015 Internships programme for Ireland. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between education and employment and is suitable for both undergraduates and recent graduates.

The programme is highly competitive and there are only 30 places available in 2015 (there are 4 places left for the 2014 programme). The placements are in well-respected businesses in Dublin, Cork and Galway in the areas of Marketing, PR, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, IT. There are other options available on request. www.internshipseu.co.uk has all the updated information on the application process and internships.

The programmes run from 4 to 12 weeks depending on the requirement of the student and the dates are flexible to meet the needs of the student. Cost of the programme includes accommodation, welcome packs, a meet and greet at the airport and the placement and costs between $3,000 and $4500 depending on duration.

InternshipsEU has run a very successful programme in 2014 and placed 20 students this year.

The programme has been developed over a 12 month period by well-respected business person Sharon Plunkett, who has been working in marketing and pr for over 25 years and in consultation with students and employers. All the placements are vetted by InternshipsEU and are designed to give both the student and the employer an opportunity to learn. InternshipsEU has a team of four personnel managing the programme.

Speaking about the programme, while visiting New York to introduce it to a number of universities, Sharon Plunkett said, “we are delighted to launch this programme of highly sought after placements in Ireland. Our programme is designed with the students in mind and aims to give real hands on experience of what they can expect when working in their chosen environment. A placement in Ireland will certainly look great on the resume too!”.
