Iconic designer Ralph Lauren celebrated 50 years in business at potentially the most star-studded fashion show of all time - and Paris Brosnan ensured there was an Irish connection.

Proud dad Pierce Brosnan took to Instagram to share snippets of the illustrious bash in Central Park.

The Drogheda man rubbed shoulders with the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Robert De Niro, Steven Spielgerg, Bruce Springsteen, and Kanye West, who were all in attendance.

Samantha Barry, the Cork native who recently stepped into the position of Editor in Chief at NYC-based Glamour magazine, was also in the audience for the retrospective show. So too was Alice Delahunt, the Wicklow woman who was hired as Ralph Lauren's first ever Chief Digital Officer earlier this year.

Brosnan (65) shared a touching post with his model son Paris after the event. The 17-year-old is no stranger to the runway, having already stalked the catwalk for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana.

"Oh what a night," former James Bond star Brosnan wrote on Instagram. "To fly in to NYC and see our son Paris walk the run way for Mr Ralph Lauren’s 50th anniversary...Paris had no idea I was in the audience, he and all who walked the runway were beautiful in every way ...a hearty congratulations to all ...A magical evening to celebrate one of America’s great icons of fashion and design, a true gentleman of passion and vision, hard work and elegance, humility and kindness, a man and his family who really do make America great."

Winding up what was surely a memorable weekend, the Brosnan men attended the US Open Final tennis match between Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka in New York on Saturday.

Brosnan's older son with second wife Keely Shaye Smith, Dylan, is also a fashion model and musician.

The 6'4" 21-year-old  is repped by top US talent agency, IMG.
