A 15-year-old boy from London is asking the Internet to help him find two Irishmen who saved his life.

Jahmal Swaby was stabbed in the chest by a gang of thieves attempting to steal a Louis Vuitton scarf he had borrowed from his older brother for the night. The attack took place at the Finsbury Park train station in London, during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Swaby told London24.com that, in a panic following the attack, he staggered onto the road outside of the train station, where passers-by ignored him and drivers swerved to avoid him, until two Irishmen stopped to come to his aid.

They told him not to panic, placed him on the ground and put pressure on the wound to reduce the loss of blood, and called an ambulance.

After police and emergency medics arrived, the Irishmen waited until Swaby – only half conscious by this point – was safely in the ambulance and on his way to the hospital.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where he received treatment for his four-inch-long, three-inch-deep stab wound.

Two boys ages 14 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the attack and will be arraigned next month.

Swaby described the two Good Samaritans, both of whom had Irish accents, as white, middle-aged, around 6-feet tall and of normal build.

“I would like to meet and thank them in person. I’m sure that I would not be here today if it wasn’t for their help,” Swaby said.

His older brother, Adrian Williams, 35, who has been his legal guardian since their mother died two years ago, also wishes to thank the two men.

“I would like to say thank you to them in person. It is rare to find normal citizens who are willing to help people in need these days,” he said.
