Aiden Grimshaw has admitted that he now fears for his chances of winning and puts it down to Dannii Mingoue’s choice of songs.
This week the 18-year-old scraped through after his, too intense, version of Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compare’s 2 U.”
Judge, Cheryl Cole, had criticized Aiden for being too intense in his performances and not acting his age. It seems that some of the views agree with the judges. The singer has lost his early status as favourite to win and is now a 25/1 outsider.
Aiden told New of the World “I'm sick of being the intense one. I like to have a laugh and have fun - but that's just not coming across. They give you the songs so there's nothing you can do,' said Aiden.
He also said that he has asked Dannii his mentor to pick more lighthearted songs to reflect a different side of his character.
According to an ‘X Factor’ insider Dannii is furious about Aiden’s comments as they will give the other judges ammunition against her.
