Inside Liam Neeson’s family life as wedding bells on the way

Daniel, 29, is the younger of the Taken star’s two sons with his late wife, Natasha Richardson. News of Daniel’s engagement came over the weekend, with the businessman confirming the news to People.

Liam

Daniel isn’t the only one in love in his family as his dad Liam has been having his moment in the spotlight with his "The Naked Gun" co-star Pamela Anderson. The pair are reported to be in a relationship, but there is also speculation that it could just be a PR stunt.

Last week, Pamela told attendees at the Deauville American Film Festival in France that a PR stunt would be a "death sentence" for her.

In the early days of his career, Neeson was romantically involved with Helen Mirren before enjoying a nine-month relationship with Barbra Streisand.

 It was Natasha Richardson who won the Ballymena man over, however, with the pair meeting in 1993 and marrying the following year. They had two sons together, Micheál and Daniel.

Liam and Natasha’s marriage was tragically cut short when the actress died following a traumatic brain injury, which she suffered in a skiing accident.

Michéal Neeson was born to Liam and Natasha on June 22, 1995, in Dublin.

The now 30-year-old started out with a career in fashion, and interned at Savile Row and Celine before becoming a fashion gallery curator.

He has since followed in the footsteps of his father and late mother, appearing on 2013’s "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" as well as "Cold Pursuit" and "Made in Italy" — both of which he starred alongside his father.

"Made in Italy" saw the pair play an estranged father and son due come to terms with the death of the matriarch of the family, with the experience branded "cathartic" for the pair.

Speaking about how the film’s plot and their real lives lined up, Liam told Graham Norton: "We can very much relate to that.

"When I read the script I thought: 'Oh my gosh, this is a bit near the knuckle'. I felt a churning in the gut, but thought it would be great to do and to do it with my son."

As a means of honoring his late mum, Michéal took her surname in 2018.

Daniel arrived into the family on August 27, 1996, and was born in New York City.

Since graduating from Tulane University in 2019, Daniel has launched a number of business lines including charitable clothing, Pine Outfitters and more recently additive-free tequila brand, De-Nada.

Over the weekend, Daniel began the next chapter of his life as he asked his long-term partner, Natalie, to marry him.

Confirming the news to PEOPLE, he said: "Yesterday I got to ask my best friend to join me on this journey called life."
