The competition for these awards is always fierce, and everyone hopes to go home with gold for their team. Now that the winners have been revealed, we can share which five- and four-star hotel spas need extra shelf space for their new award.

Best Five-Star Hotel Spas

GOLD - The Europe Hotel & Resort

The Europe Hotel & Resort is a modern, five-star hotel on the shores of the Killarney Lakes, offering some of the best views in the country.

It also features a state-of-the-art spa, complimentary horse riding, a gym, boating and fishing, and beautifully manicured gardens. It won Bronze in 2025, but it took home gold for the best five-star spa experience in 2026.

SILVER - Dromoland Castle Resort

The silver gong went to the five-star Dromoland Castle in Co Clare. The celebrity-favourite hotel has long been top of the list as a wedding venue with its fairytale turrets, five-star food and service, and impressive interior.

It's Castle Spa is very popular too for its six treatment rooms, a twin suite, an Amber and Quartz Crystal bed, and a sublime relaxation space - The Whisper Room. A worthy winner in the five-star hotel spas awards night.

BRONZE - Fota Island Resort

Fota Island Resort is an island escape in Cork, in close proximity to Fota Wildlife Park, so it's a different kind of destination for a spa break away.

It has VOYA and Ground beauty in its luxurious spa, with state-of-the-art facilities, a fitness suite, an indoor pool, and a selection of face and body treatments.

Four-Star Hotel Spas - GOLD - Galgorm Resort

Often voted one of the best spas in Ireland, Galgorm Resort is an expansive estate with woodland features, including private saunas, outdoor showers, and wood-fired baths.

Along with its Thermal Spa facilities, comprehensive spa treatment list, and alternative therapies like sound and soul therapy, the 40-acre Galgorm has won gold for the best four-star hotel spas, and we're really not surprised it scooped the top gong.

SILVER - The Brehon Hotel & Spa

The Brehon Hotel in Killarney has picked up silver at the Gold Medal Awards for hotel spas. The hotel's Anu spa is the perfect place for spa packages, treatments, and weekend getaways.

It has an indoor pool, hydrotherapy, saunas, and mud treatments, and lots of monthly offers for half and full-day experiences. The Brehon is also very popular for weddings in Kerry.

BRONZE - The Imperial Hotel

The bronze medal for the best-four-star hotel spa at the awards has gone to The Imperial Hotel in the heart of Cork city. The Escape Spa is a tranquil spot to relax and recharge after a day of shopping and exploring the city's highlights, featuring an indoor hydrotherapy pool and a relaxation space.

The spa uses Elemis for its face and body treatments, facials, massages, etc., and it's a much-loved brand across our leading hotel spas nationwide. Congratulations to all the winners.
