The disturbances erupted on June 9 in the aftermath of a knife attack that left one man with life-changing injuries and sparked several nights of chaos across parts of the city.

Terrified families were forced to flee their homes as rioters torched houses and vehicles, while a number of incidents were reported in which people were allegedly targeted because of their race.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the unrest and have released images of individuals they believe may be able to assist their inquiries.

The violence followed an alleged knife attack in which Stephen Ogilvie suffered devastating injuries, including the loss of his left eye and serious wounds to his head, face and back.

He remains in hospital receiving treatment.

A 30-year-old man, Hadi Alodid, has appeared before the courts charged with attempted murder in connection with the attack. The case is ongoing.

Mr Ogilvie’s family have condemned the scenes that unfolded in the days that followed, saying they were ‘disgusted’ by the violence that swept through Belfast.

Police have already made a number of arrests and brought charges against several people linked to the disorder, with investigations continuing in Belfast and other affected areas.

Anyone who recognizes those pictured by police is being urged to come forward as officers work to identify those involved in the disturbances.

In a statement on its website, the PSNI said, ‘If this is you, we are asking you to come forward to the police now. Anyone who can assist in identifying this person, please get in touch with the police.’

‘If you have any information or wish to submit photos and footage, including CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam footage, please contact police.’
