The American singer last played in Ireland in 2022 in Dublin's Croke Park over a record-breaking five nights in front of more than 400,000 fans. After his historic run, he vowed that he couldn't wait to return to Ireland. And now the star has announced that he will be coming back to our shores for a mammoth stadium tour.

Confirming the news on Thursday, Garth said: "IRELAND ...The secret’s out 📦 🏟️🔥 And I could NOT be happier! 5 Cities. 2027 I can’t wait!"

Rumors had started circulating about a tour on Wednesday when country music website Holler revealed that they noticed a number of teasers and clues shared by music promoter Aikens Promotions.

Aikens Promotions has shared a clip of a "special delivery" being transported to a series of stadiums. The video ends with an announcement date of Thursday, November 5, at 8am.

In the clip, fans can see Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, and Limerick referenced.

The website states: "Given the fact that Aikens Promotions has hosted summer concert series across GAA stadiums in these four locations in the past, Garth could announce dates at Cork's SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Kilkenny's Nowlan Park, Limerick's TUS Gaelic Grounds and Galway's Pearse Stadium."

Now we know that the five cities confirmed for Garth's Ireland tour are:

  • BELFAST — Boucher Road | Fri 21 & Sat 22 May
  • GALWAY — Pearse Stadium | Sat 29 & Sun 30 May
  • KILKENNY — UPMC Nowlan Park | Fri 04 & Sat 05 June
  • LIMERICK — TUS Gaelic Grounds | Fri 11 & Sat 12 June
  • CORK — Pairc Ui Chaoimh | Fri 18 & Sat 19 June

Yes, that's right, there's no Dublin date... for now!

Garth has often spoken about his love for Ireland. In January of this year, he reflected on his deep and often emotional connection to Ireland, a place he admits he's never fully been able to explain—even after more than 30 years of extraordinary support from Irish fans.

He said at the time: "I've never understood what it is about Ireland. But their love for Garth music stuns me every time."

In 2014, when Garth announced five comeback shows at Dublin's Croke Park and sold 400,000 tickets, it was marked as the most dramatic sales in Ireland.

What was meant to be a celebration, however, quickly turned into heartbreak.

After Dublin City Council approved permits for only three of the five scheduled shows, Garth made the decision to cancel all of the concerts rather than deliver a partial run.

Garth later described the canceled Ireland shows as "a death in the family."

In "The Anthology, Part VI: The Comeback, The Next Five Years", Garth reflected on Ireland as more than a pivotal chapter in his career, calling it "family."

"If I never played music again after Ireland, would it have been enough for me? Yes," he said.

Tickets for the 2027 dates will go on sale on Thursday, 12 November, at 8am - good luck, everyone!
