More than 130 members of the AOH came together at Rory Dolan’s restaurant in Yonkers, New York for their annual awards dinner dance. There, they presented Country Bank with the Celtic Harps award, which acknowledges a “continued commitment to the social values and causes the AOH supports.”

Joseph Murphy, Jr., president and CEO of Country Bank, said: "It was an extraordinary honor to accept this award on behalf of Country Bank.”

"The Ancient Order of the Hibernians is an organization near and dear to the Murphy family, both personally and professionally.”

Murphy added that Country Bank takes great pride in its Irish roots, as well as its participation in the AOH, which has been a customer of the bank for many years. At the dinner dance, Country Bank presented the AOH with a donation of $2,300.

This year’s annual awards dinner dance was dedicated to the Ballymurphy Massacre Campaign for Justice, a campaign based in Ireland seeking justice for eleven Irish civilians who were killed in 1971. Special recognition was given to lead activist Carmel Quinn, sister of one of the victims, and John Laverty, who will begin a five-state American tour as the Inquest opens in Belfast.
