He is being brought by the Government’s Dassault Falcon 6X aircraft from Arrecife Airport in Lanzarote.

Gardaí traveled to Lanzarote on Thursday morning (September 10) aboard the Irish Air Corps-operated jet.

The flight was expected to arrive in Baldonnel, where Jason Hutch — who also goes by the alias Jamie Murphy — will appear before a special sitting of Dublin District Court.

Mr Hutch had attempted to fight his extradition since his arrest back in April, but all appeals failed.

The flight left the Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel at 9am on Thursday — the same airfield that extradited Daniel Kinahan, leader of the Kinahan cartel that was embroiled in a bloody feud with the Hutch gang a decade ago — and departed this afternoon.

‘The Monk’ has five children with his wife.

Hutch was cleared of murder by the Special Criminal Court for the killing of David Byrne in the infamous Regency Hotel shooting back in 2016.

He ran for office in the Dáil in the 2024 General Election and the Dublin Central by-election, coming up short both times.
