Celebrations at Clifford's Centra in Cork City Centre after selling the winning €250 million EuroMillions Jackpot ticket.Irish National Lottery

Clifford’s Centra on Shandon Street in Cork City Centre has been announced as the store that sold this week's record-setting €250 million winning EuroMillions Jackpot ticket.

"This is a wind up, is it? You're joking me," the shop's owner said when he received the call that his shop had sold the winning ticket.

"That's great news," he said, adding with a laugh, "I'm just gutted it wasn't me that bought it."

Clifford's Centra will get a €25,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winning EuroMillions Jackpot numbers for Tuesday, June 17 were 13, 22, 23, 44, 49, with Lucky Stars 3 and 5.

On Tuesday night, the Irish National Lottery was quick to confirm that the winning ticket had been sold in Ireland, and the following morning, confirmed that the ticket had been sold at a retail shop in the Munster region.

On Thursday, the Irish National Lottery confirmed that the winning ticket had been sold in Co Cork - and that the winner had made contact.

The €250 million jackpot marks a new milestone for the Irish National Lottery, setting the record for the largest prize ever won in Ireland.

It is the 18th win in Ireland of the EuroMillions Jackpot since it started in 2004 and the 13th National Lottery Millionaire of 2025.

“This is just fantastic news, it is hard to believe it," Ted Clifford, owners of Clifford's Centra, said.

"We are delighted to have sold this golden ticket to one of our customers.

"We already sold a winning Millionaire Raffle ticket on New Year's Eve just gone, worth €100,000, so that must have been the start of our winning streak.

"On behalf of our Centra team, it's an honour to be part of this historic moment.

"We are here on Shandon Street for 95 years and am so proud to be the third generation owner of Clifford’s. We send our warmest congratulations to the winner and their family.”

Cian Murphy, CEO National Lottery, said: “We are delighted to announce Clifford’s Centra as the location to have sold the €250 Million EuroMillions winning ticket.

"This is a truly historic moment for the National Lottery and for the country. Not only does it mark the 18th EuroMillions Jackpot win in Ireland, but also Ireland’s biggest ever Jackpot win.

"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winner and our sincere thanks to Ted, Simon, and all at Clifford’s Centra for being part of this unforgettable milestone.”
