McMahon, from Westchester, New York, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) in 1998 and survived two double lung transplants, the first in October 2016 and the second in November 2017.

McMahon is now back in the hospital, but doctors have said that she is too ill to face yet another transplant.

On June 13, a friend of McMahon tweeted a video of her singing and dancing to Taylor Swift’s hit song ‘You Belong with Me’ in a bid to get the pop star’s attention with the #Taylor2Annie hashtag:

Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lawrence, Whoopi Goldberg, and Steve Carrell are just a few of the other celebrities who have reached out to the 22-year-old. McMahon told People Magazine that Chrissy Teigen even visited her at home and that singer Selena Gomez Facetimed her.

McMahon is gracious for the support: “To see the love and support that’s come out of this really has helped me because I should be so sad, and I am, but seeing all these people reach out to me and care about me, it just really makes me happy. It distracts me during this really sad time and I think it’s building my spirits.”
