And if that standout ship a top the Queen of Pop's head seemed familiar to you, then there's a high chance you're an Irish style lover. The headpiece is by none other than Irish milliner extrordinare Philip Treacy and was the perfect way to top off her theatrical art-inspired look.
Madonna's look was inspired by The Temptations of Saint Anthony Fragment II by the artist Leonora Carrington.
In the painting, a woman with a ship on her head and a trumpet in her hands is encircled by a posse of women in dresses of different colors.

Madonna, with help from designer Saint Laurent, recreated the image to a T, with six women holding out a sheer cloak as she posed for the cameras.
While the whole "fit was impressive, it was the ship on Madge's head that really caught the eye, and we love that it's an Irish designer's work."
Philip shared a video of Madonna striking a pose in his hat, sharing that the hat was owned by the magazine editor, Isabella Blow, who died in 2007.
He wrote: "Madonna wearing Isabella Blow’s Ship hat in @ysl for the Met Gala 2026 tonight, inspired by Leonora Carrington’s The Temptation of St. Anthony (1945)."
Philip’s Ship hat has become something of a legend over the years, and when his 2015 book was released, the milliner told how he’s received many offers for it over the years.
He told Architectural Digest: "Michael Jackson offered $25,000 for the ship, and that was quite a lot of money in 1995.
"But I only had one, and even though I love Michael Jackson, I just didn’t want it going off to Neverland."
