Comedian Rosie and her child, Clay, moved to Ireland after the re-election of Donald Trump in 2024, settling in Sandymount, Dublin.

Rosie — whose feud with Mr. Trump long precedes either of his elections to the Presidency — has enjoyed her time in Dublin, regularly speaking about her time over here in the US, and helping Nikita Hand launch her book earlier this week.

While Rosie is loving life in Ireland, she has given a time frame of when she’ll be back on US soil during an appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday (September 26).

Speaking to host Patrick Kielty, Rosie said that she would head back to the US once "Trump is out," adding that her dislike for Trump isn’t exclusive in her native New York.

"It’s one mediocre man, who is a criminal, who has taken over and somehow has the autonomy given to him by the corrupt Supreme Court to do whatever he wants and America’s sick of it," Rosie said.

"I’d be walking down the street holding the hands of my autistic 13-year-old, and cab drivers would stop and scream out “Rosie! I hate him too!” And I’m like, 'Way to go, New York!'"

Rosie, who’s also hoping to receive her Irish citizenship, added that she’ll be going back to the US "as soon as [Mr Trump’s] out. And so I’m hoping that will be sooner rather than later."

Rosie also spoke about Mr Trump’s meeting with Irish President Catherine Connolly, praising Ms Connolly for how she ‘dealt’ with Mr Trump during his visit to Áras an Úachtaráin.

"[The meeting went] so well when she gave him that book, and you know he didn’t even understand the totality of what it meant," Rosie said, referencing the Navigatio Sancti book that Ms Connolly gifted him; a collection of poems that included the sonnet, "Ceasefire".

"There was a wonderful picture of him like leaving so angry and there she is smiling behind him," Rosie said. "This is how we all should treat him. Right now, he is taken to excluding some members of the media from covering him in the White House and I think all media should ignore him from now on."

Rosie was on hand to help Nikita Hand launch her book, "Not the Perfect Victim", earlier this week, which follows Nikita’s ‘survival and resilience’ during the period of her civil rape trial against disgraced MMA fighter Conor McGregor.
