Irish actresses Saoirse Ronan, Eve Hewson and Nicola Coughlan are all in the running to be the next Bond girl, according to new odds from Betway.

Speculation has been mounting over who will become the next James Bond - with Theo James, Idris Elba, and Paul Mescal all rumoured to be in the running - but which star is set to land the coveted role as the new Bond girl?

The new Bond film is reportedly due to land in cinemas in 2027, which means filming should be set to start soon.

According to Betway, "Euphoria" actress Zendaya has the strongest chance of landing the part, with odds at 3/1. The 27-year old star certainly possesses a striking beauty and has already wowed critics with her acting chops in recent years.

British star Jodie Comer’s odds stand at 5/1 and her talent for accents and ability to portray an array of emotions would certainly make her an exciting choice.

"Little Women" star Florence Pugh and "Bridgerton’s" Simone Ashley are also popular choices, with odds of 8/1.

A surprise contender for the role is Michelle Keegan, who’s currently at odds of 10/1. The former Corrie star has long been known for her flawless beauty and strong acting skills, so a big-screen role could well be on her radar.

For American-born Irish actress Saoirse Ronan and Eve Hewson, daughter of U2's Bono, their odds also stand at 10/1.

Meanwhile, "White Lotus" star Aimee Lou Wood and "Bridgerton’s" Nicola Coughlan appeared to be the stars least likely to be named the new Bond girl, with odds of just 25/1.
