The 29-year-old mum-of-one died last week, three weeks after she suffered severe head wounds during an attack on the R494 road in Birdhill.
Ms Faulkner had been on life support at Cork University Hospital since the attack. She was put in an induced coma to help reduce the swelling of her brain.
Last weekend, the young woman's sister-in-law confirmed the passing of Ms Faulkner, with her funeral mass taking place at St Munchin's Church in Limerick last Friday.
Just days later, Ms Faulkner's brother Jason has died.
The Irish Times reports that Mr Faulkner's body was recovered from a river in Limerick on Sunday evening.

A statement from An Garda Síochána [Irish police] said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident at the Abbey River, Limerick on Sunday 19th April, 2026.
"Shortly after 5pm, Gardaí were alerted to a body in the water. Fire services removed the body of a man, aged in his 30s, and he was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later."
Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service also attended the scene of the accident.
The rescue service took to Facebook to urge people to call the Irish Coast Guard in any occurrence of seeing a person in difficulty in or near the water.

Friends and family of the late Mr Faulkner have been paying tribute online, with one writing: "My heart, two days after burying your sister your gone now Jason her lovely brother.
"The laughs we had oh Jason what are the family gonna do I can't get my head around it no doubt Scarlett Faulkner was there to meet you together again forever [sic]."
Another added: "Why god. Life is so cruel and shocking Jason cousin your back with your sister Scarlett we will all love and miss ye forever our hearts are in bits [sic]."
A 40-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl are before the courts in connection with the incident in Birdhill.
