IrishCentral were live from the Consulate General of Ireland in New York.

Today, Friday, March 2, IrishCentral was live via Facebook from the monthly First Friday breakfast at the Consulate General of Ireland in New York.

The First Friday breakfasts are a staple of the Irish community in New York. They present a great opportunity to connect with the Irish & Irish-American community in the greater New York region. Attendees are offered the chance to promote an event that is of interest to the Irish diaspora in New York or simply hear the latest community, cultural and business news.

At Friday's breakfast we heard about a number of upcoming Irish events in the area, perfectly timed for Irish American Heritage Month, including IrishCentral's FarePlate food and drink festival on March 11

We heard from Ted Smyth of Glucksman Ireland House of Studies at New York University on the fascinating results of a survey Glucksman Ireland House conducted last year in partnership with IrishCentral and Amárach Research. The survey was a comprehensive exploration of habits, preferences, passions, and interests among Irish Americans under the age of 45.

Deputy Consul General Anna McGillicuddy then led a Q+A with Smyth about the survey results.
