Liam Neeson is already well-known for his activism regarding the Central Park horses.
Irish actor Liam Neeson is quite the animal fan, despite long having taken a stand in support of the carriages which see horses drag tourists around Central Park. The “Taken” star recently revealed his own strong connection with the animal, telling how his kind treatment caused a horse on a movie set to recognize him.
“I play a traveling impresario. We filmed in New Mexico. The odd thing is the horse who pulls my wagon knew me,” Neeson told Page Six of the filming of "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs."
“You won’t believe it. I’m saying this horse knew me. He actually remembered me from another Western we made a while back. I love animals. When we worked together before I took special care of him. I fed him treats. Gave him apples.
“He whinnied when he saw me. And pawed the ground.”
Irish actors Liam Neeson and Brendan Gleeson are part of a star-studded cast for Netflix’s latest project "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," whose official trailer was released in September.
Directed by the award-winning Ethan and Joel Coen, "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" is a six-part Western anthology film that will hit Netflix on November 16 as well as select theaters.
