Sean from December 10.Netflix
The music mogul formed the group during his Netflix docuseries, Simon Cowell: "The Next Act".
December 10 is made up of seven singers: Cruz (19), Danny (17), Hendrick (19), John (17), Josh (17), Nicolas (16), and Sean (19). Of course, no one does boy bands better than Ireland, and so it's only right that there be an Irishman amongst the lads.
Sean, who hails from Dublin, might just be December 10's answer to Niall Horan.
The youngster has even cited Justin Bieber as one of the stars he looks up to, just as the Mullingar man did during his own audition, when he famously said he is the Irish version of the Canadian singer.
In his first interview, Sean revealed that he simply auditioned for Simon Cowell's show to make his "mum proud."
He told The Mirror: "My mum heard about the auditions and she was like Simon Cowell is holding auditions, and I’ve signed you up! And I was curious about it all, really. Especially as I hadn’t really heard about any new boy bands coming out in Ireland or the UK for a long time."
December 10 is signed to EMI/Universal, and has already released their first song together, a live acoustic performance of NSYNC’s "Bye Bye Bye."
Simon clearly expects the band to do big things, as he told them that their 'whole life' will change after the Netflix show airs.
"I am really, really proud of you individually. I am seeing you about to do what you have always dreamt of doing. Probably the most important advice is, whoever becomes your very, very first fan is the most important person in the world," he told them.
