Mark O'Connell, whose looks caught plenty of people's attention, has been dubbed the "hot protester" by many of the women of Ireland who launched a search to identify the West Cork man.
The first clip of Mark began circulating on Friday, and it wasn't long before the comments section was filled with people complimenting his looks.
"Ok, I’m gonna protest with the first guy, he looks like he needs my support," one person joked, while another penned: "My God, the first fella."
"I need the name of the first guy," another demanded, while a fourth said: "The first fella is a god lol."
"Who’s that first guy? Handsome fella," a social media user asked, while another said: "Send that first fella in to have words, and he'll get whatever he wants! Jaysus, he's a babe."
Mark has since spoken out about all of the media attention he has received, joking that his girlfriend is not impressed by his newfound popularity.
Mark spoke on Cork's Red FM. "The big question that everyone wants to know, Mark, what's your marital status at the moment?" the show's host asked, with him confirming: "I have a girlfriend, alright."

"I don't know how long she'll be there for now if this keeps going," he joked. He even admitted that he felt he was looking his worst in the video, as he hadn't slept in days due to the protest.
