Eugene Levy is "The Reluctant Traveler".Apple TV

The Canadian actor made the trip to the Emerald Isle as part of his Apple TV series, "The Reluctant Traveller".

The show is a docuseries that sees Eugene stepping out of his comfort zone to explore unique destinations worldwide.

This particular episode was filmed last St Patrick’s Day, with the "Schitt’s Creek" star making his way to Galway.

While there, Eugene tried his hand at speaking Irish and it went pretty much as expected.

In a short teaser shared on TikTok, Eugene was shown walking along with his Irish tour guide.

In typical Hollywood fashion, he asked her if she spoke "Gaelic".

Eugene’s guide replied: "Cúpla focail", which made the Canadian do a quick double take.

Eugene remarked: "Well that didn’t sound good."

After a laugh, she explained that it meant "a few words" but Eugene was already fueled. He hit back with: "A cúpla f***er".

Unsurprisingly, the comments were filled with people explaining that the language is "Gaeilge" or Irish, not "Gaelic".

However, there were also many who shared their excitement at Eugene making the trip over to our shores.

One user wrote: "Love it never knew he filmed in Ireland. I live here the scenery is beautiful."

Another added: "Eugene is class in the 'American Pie' films. Never realised he was over here at some stage."

A third commented: "Great show, everyone should watch."

In the show’s third season, Eugene visits Ireland but he also embarks on journeys to places such as India and South Korea.

The star is accompanied by guests, including his daughter Sarah Levy and Michael Bublé, despite his well-known preference for staying at home.

Sarah is also an actor, appearing on "Schitt’s Creek" with her dad and brother, and she was accompanying her father as he explored the west.

Eugene has been playing comedy dads for years, nailing the role on so many occasions that it’s easy to forget that his son on Schitt’s Creek is also his real-life son, Dan.
