Good Samaritan story sparks hunt for kind stranger who cleaned up a local store.

A store in Co. Louth, Ireland, is celebrating a fantastic Good Samaritan story that saw a kind stranger clean up their shop front after a spree of vandalism in the middle of the night.

Family-run business Kearneys Interior in Ardee shared a call for help on their Facebook page last week in which they asked the public for information in identifying three young men who were shown pulling up flowers from the front of the shop and throwing them on the street.

After watching the CCTV from their front of the store further, however, the business was shocked to discover that just over an hour later, another young man walking in the opposite direction began to pick up the flowers from the road and re-pot them as they were before.

The video has since been picked up by US news channels and the decision of the, as of yet, unidentified young man in taking time out of his night to clean up the neighborhood, has made him something on a viral hit. ABC News shared the story that has since been retweeted over 2,400 times.

While the good samaritan has yet to be identified, the store’s owner Thomas has said that a thank you gift is waiting for him if he ever wishes to announce himself.

“After looking at the CCTV from the shopfront being vandalised, we came across this – a young gentleman who tidied up the mess and re-potted the flowers!” the original Facebook post from Kearneys Interior wrote.

“Store owner Thomas has left a voucher in the shop for him as a thank you gesture so if anyone knows him or can contact him please do!”

In an update on October 31, the store also revealed that the three men who caused the damage in the first place had come forward to apologize for their actions and offered to pay for any damage caused.
