Wingstop appears to be taking flight for Ireland.Wingstop

First Taco Bell, and now Wingstop!

Dublin food lovers are up in arms following news that the US chicken franchise is setting up shop in a popular Dublin shopping centre.

The American chain, which was founded in Texas in 1994, specialises in buffalo wings and has yet to have any Irish outlets.

That looks all set to change, however, following footage circulating online that the beloved chicken shop is coming to Liffey Valley.

TikTok user Ruth shared a 15-second clip of the exterior of the space, which appears to be acquired by the Wingstop brand.

"Wing stop Liffey valley coming soon!!" Ruth shared, with the post accumulating more than 30,000 likes and plenty of reactions.

"Finally!" one wrote, while another added: "And I go to Liffey Valley every Sunday for church!"

A fourth said: "I can’t wait," while a fourth forecast that they were going to be "there every week."

Very little details have been revealed about the new location as of yet. Extra.ie have reached out to Wingstop Press Office for further information.

It comes not long after the first-ever Taco Bell came to Ireland, following the start of a long collaboration between the chain and Applegreen.

The first chain opened last week as part of a €15m investment into Junction 6 on the M3 in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath.

The introduction of the fast food chain has led to the creation of 100 new jobs at the new service area, which also boasts an M&S Food shop-in-shop outlet, a new Braeburn Coffee Café, a Burger King restaurant, as well as Crafted, Applegreen’s bespoke new deli offering.

Furthermore, there is a children’s play area and a service station forecourt on the premises.

Eager customers queued ahead of the 10am opening on Tuesday morning with a range of Taco Bell merch, including tote bags and bucket hats.
