The Wolfe Tones.
The Wolfe Tones are apparently still interested in opening for Oasis as the British rock group is set to take the stage at Dublin's Croke Park this weekend, August 16 and August 17.
"Well lad, hope you’re excited for Croker this weekend," The Wolfe Tones said on social media on Thursday as Oasis landed in Ireland ahead of their Dublin gigs.
"Any idea what time our sound check is at?
"Welcome to the Emerald Isle."

The cheeky question - or perhaps a sneaky teaser? - comes a year after Oasis fans were sent into a tizzy when the iconic 90s British rock group announced that it was reuniting for a string of shows in Ireland and the UK in summer 2025.
Amidst the excitement last summer was speculation about who might open for Oasis on the long-awaited reunion run.
The Wolfe Tones, the Irish rebel band that formed back in the 1960s and has been enjoying a resurgence in popularity over the past few years, were among the acts floated as potential openers.
On August 27 last year - the day Oasis announced their reunion and new concert dates - the social media account @IrishUnity encouraged its more than 100k followers to "manifest" The Wolfe Tones opening for Oasis next year.
Accompanying its post was a clip of the Gallagher brothers reminiscing about a record shop that used to "have some good old Wolfe Tones records."

As it happens, The Wolfe Tones - who at the time had announced they would be retiring by the end of 2024 - signaled that they were interested in the Oasis gig.
Brian Warfield, the band's frontman, told RSVP Live: “The main ambition for the future is Croke Park with Oasis. That would put the icing on the cake.”
Warfield explained at the time that there were no confirmed plans, but that the band had voiced that they would love to take on the position.
“I don’t know," Warfield continued. "We’ve already created an interest that we would love to do it. I guess it’s up to them and their management."
He added: “We would just do our spot opening up for them and they would be part of their spot. People want to see Oasis and they might want to see The Wolfe Tones. They would want to see each of us doing our own thing.”
A few weeks later, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher - who spent many summers visiting his parents' native Ireland with his brother Noel in his youth - indicated that he was on board.
“What about the @wolfetones opening at Croke Park?” the X account @IrishUnity asked Gallagher.
"I'm up for it let's do it," Gallagher replied.
The Wolfe Tones caught wind of Gallagher's response and later added "See you at the foot of Hill 16," referring to a section of Croke Park.

Though unlikely at this point, The Wolfe Tones opening for Oasis in Ireland would be a sort of full-circle moment for both of the iconic bands.
The Gallagher brothers, whose parents are from Co Mayo and Co Meath, have pointed to Irish rebel music as an inspiration.
"I feel as Irish as the next person," Noel told The Irish Times in 2008.
"The first music I was ever exposed to was the rebel songs the bands used to sing in the Irish club in Manchester.
"Do you know, I think that's where Oasis songs get their punch-the-air quality - from me being exposed to those rousing rebel songs. It was all rebel songs and that godawful Irish country and Western music."
Meanwhile, Warfield previously said that he recalls the young Gallagher brothers attending the band's gigs in Manchester years ago.
“There were two kids who always showed up in Manchester to see us — Noel and Liam," Warfield told The Irish Sun in 2019.
“I remember them telling us, they were starting a band, it was only years later when I switched on the TV and saw them, I realized it was Oasis.”
