After playing two nights of his US tour in the Gillette Stadium, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran visited his fans in the hospital for a special intimate gig.

Boston’s Children Hospital had a very special visitor on Monday, as pop superstar Ed Sheeran made sure all of his fans could meet him during his recent trip to Boston, even if they couldn’t make it to Gillette Stadium.

Sheeran headed to Boston’s Children Hospital with his guitar, playing his hit song “Perfect” for the crowd and meeting with patients, their families, and posing for pictures.

"Thank you, Ed, for helping to bring smiles to faces of our patients, families and staff! We hope to see you again soon!" the hospital wrote in a Facebook post.

"My daughter was there and this was an unbelievable experience thanks to Ed and BCH!” added a commenter Jeanine Jernegan.

“You not only made her day but I think her whole year!!! Ed was super nice, down to earth and amazing with all the kids! Truly an inspiration, to take time out of his busy schedule to do this!!!"
