The character proved a hit with fans in the first outing to the point he got his own spin-off series, and the critical acclaim the Irishman has received has been amazing.

Fans were excited to hear that he would be returning for "The Batman 2", and in an interview with The Wrap, the 49-year-old teased what might be in store for our favorite Gotham gangster.

He said: "I’ll be getting into the script, I think, this week, and I’ll be there for however long. I don’t have many scenes, I don’t believe, but I’ll be there for whatever.

"[Director/writer] Matt Reeves is so brilliant. I don’t know what the story is yet. I just know that obviously Matt has slaved for a few years now to really make something special.

"And he holds a very high bar for himself. He’s so meticulous; he cares so deeply about what he does."

There has also been ponderings if Cristin Milioti will return as Sofia Falcone, and while she didn't give anything away, she did confirm her interest.

She shared: "I would really love to revisit her. I want to play her again" when asked if there was a possibility of her appearing in "The Batman 2".
