Someone who lost their phone in a Liverpool park was left with a surprise when they learned who found it: none other than Irish superstar Barry Keoghan.
The Dubliner is currently filming one of four biopics based on The Beatles, where he will play Fab Four drummer Ringo alongside Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal and Joseph Quinn in the interconnected biopics.
It appears Barry is still in Liverpool filming the biopic, as he and Black Sea actor Bobby Schofield were walking in Sefton Park when they found a lost phone.
Of course, it’s a good idea to leave a video message for someone who lost their phone, since the video can then appear in the cloud; the person who lost their phone can then figure out where it may be.
However, whoever lost their phone probably got the surprise of their life when they learned the people who found it were Hollywood stars in Barry and Bobby.
‘Found this iPhone, I’m gonna leave it with Bobby here,’ Barry said in the video while Bobby tried (and failed) at an Irish accent.
‘Bad Irish accent,’ Barry told Bobby, before panning around and telling the person who lost their phone that they found it in Sefton Park.
‘Check your iCloud, and you’ll find it,’ Barry told the phone’s owner, then giving a peace sign to the camera — while people were delighted at the film stars’ good deed for the day.
‘Yes boys,’ one commented, while another added: ‘I’d be buzzing if I had a video of Barry Keoghan on my iCloud tbh.’
While Barry rightly accosted Bobby’s Dublin accent, another pointed out that Barry’s attempt at a Liverpool accent in Saltburn was equally as shocking, commenting: ‘Can someone ask Barry about his Scouse accent in Saltburn?’ alongside laughing emojis.
The four Beatles biopics are set to release simultaneously in 2028, and filming is in full swing — after the new Fab Four were seen filming a scene behind one of the most iconic album covers of all time.
