Nataly Eismont's video of an impatient dog beeping the horn of a car in Killarney, Co Kerry, has gone viral.

"She said 'I’ll be right back'… the dogs decided to speed things up," Eismont captioned her now viral post on Instagram.

The video - which appears to have been snapped on High Street in Killarney - shows that the beeping bichon had a co-conspirator who shied away in the back seat.

Eismont, a native of Ukraine who is now based in Co Kerry, told Storyful she was walking down the street when she heard a loud honk.

When she looked up, she saw a dog in the driver’s seat of a parked car, appearing to honk the horn as if calling for its owner.

But what Eismont likely thought was just a cute video has since gone viral, racking up more than 16.1k likes and hundreds of comments. It's also been picked up by outlets in the US, including CBS, ABC, and Fox.

Many commenters imagined what the beeping pup was thinking:

"When you’re waiting too long for your puppchino!!! C’mon Maaaam!!!"

"Human, where are you? We have appointments!"

“Mum hurry up! a traffic wardens coming!!!!!”

Another wrote: "He drives for Uber on the weekends!!"

However, some commenters pointed out the dangers of leaving a dog in a car unattended. Others responded that the weather was rainy and gray, and the chance of the pup overheating was low.

Reacting to her video going viral, Eismont wrote in a public Facebook post on April 8: "You write about serious things…

"And then you randomly film two dogs honking for their owner

"Next thing you know – it’s going viral all over the world

"Honestly, this might be the cutest thing I’ve ever posted.

"Sometimes we all just need something light and good."
