It's almost like a scene from a Roddy Doyle movie! These Irish firefighters helped save the day when they came to the rescue of a woman in labor.

The newborn bundle of joy was delivered by the side of the road in Dublin on May 23rd, thanks to the fast thinking actions of Dublin Fire Brigade members.

The baby boy's parents Jess and Darren were being driven to the maternity hospital in their friend Matthew’s car when the baby decided it wasn't going to wait any longer.

According to the Irish Post, the trio parked on the Anglesea Road as paramedics talked Darren through the delivery over the phone until firefighters and an advanced paramedic arrived at the scene.

(Side note: Can we take a minute to appreciate Darren's fitting Star Wars/I am your Father tshirt?!)

With Jess fully in labor and the baby already making himself known to the world, the emergency services took over just in time before an ambulance arrived to take them to hospital.
