Currently in the middle of a European Tour, and enjoying huge success after his summer album "Little Dreaming" was a massive hit, the Cork-born singer took time out today to promote a new report released by men’s health and suicide-prevention charity "Movember".

Speaking to the Irish Independent and in a post on Instagram, Cian Ducrot said, "It’s hard to talk to people around you. It’s hard to open up. It’s hard to feel like you’re just going to burden someone’s day or life."

The report, entitled "The Real Face of Men’s Health", outlines the number of preventable deaths among men in Ireland and reveals suicide statistics that show how men account for almost 80% of suicides in Ireland.

Cian Ducrot himself has lost two friends to suicide and admits how hard it is for men to open up to people around them.

Even though he is a massive star, with a TikTok following of over 4.5 million fans and more than a million followers on Instagram, Ducrot advises against using social media.

"To be honest, my biggest piece of advice would be to not have social media. For me, it’s impossible, simply because of my career, I have to be able to promote. But if I didn’t, I would just delete everything," he said.

Movember is a global charity event and movement for men’s health, held every year in November. It focuses on men’s physical and mental health, providing support for men dealing with male cancers, mental health and suicide prevention.

Participants typically "grow a Mo" (moustache) starting on November 1st, but can also raise funds by walking or running 60km for the month, or hosting events called "Mo-ments", or creating their own challenges.

The funds raised support various men’s health programs and research worldwide.

Movember will also pledge €1m into real-world community men’s health research from 2026, coupled with a €200,000 investment in awareness campaigns.
