In Sept. of 1997 my wife and I attended a great wedding reception at the Devon Inn Hotel (betweeen Newcaslthewest and Abbeyfeale) in west Limnerick. This great event was totally free of any aspect of foreign culture -truly an Irish wedding in the Sliabh Luachra district.
there are so many good wedding venues in Ireland & these are the best wedding venues.
We had family members who got married at the Trudder Lodge in Co. Wicklow which is a old Georgian house in the country. Total fantastic day! Would recommend getting married in Ireland to anyone. Lovely place.
We had our wedding @ Dunloe Castle Hotel and it was wonderful. If I'd had unlimited funds though we might have had it at Powerscourt House.
Kylemore Abbey is wonderful or even the Japanese Garden at the Irish Stud for a less formal affair. How about Muchross house for a typical Irish estate wedding or just Ireland ANYWHERE.
Avon-ri in Blessington Co. Wicklow overlooking the Blessington lakes, unforgetable.
Please do not forget about Castle Oliver in Ard Patrick, County Limerick. It has a beautiful setting and is such a beautiful place in the country.
