When baby naming expert Morgan shared a round-up of "super rare names" in the US, we didn’t expect to see this Irish county on the line-up.

Would you name your child Dublin? Because five people across the pond did in 2023!

The unlikely Irish county-inspired pick appeared in Morgan’s list of baby girl names that were used five times in 2023, ahead of the SSA’s new data for 2024 being released.

Describing them as "so rare that they are practically extinct", the content creator explained that all the monikers on the list would disappear off the charts if they were used four or fewer times in this year’s list.

With no records of the name Dublin being used in Ireland according to the CSO, we do enjoy a place-inspired baby name with Paris given to four baby girls last year, Brooklyn (four), Austin (23), Chester (3) and Georgia (58).

With Morgan pointing out that some of the names may be deemed ‘a little more controversial’ as they were only used a handful of times, TikTok users shared their opinions on the selection of unique names.

One person wrote: "Thistle? Minnow? Peaches? Adorable! Dublin and Clemence, I’m SHOCKED, maybe Dublin is going on my baby name list", another, less on board commenter, added: ‘Dublin is crazy.’
