The late Adrian Donohoe

Aaron Brady, the suspect charged with the murder of Garda Adrian Donohoe, is due to return to court later this week.

The tragic garda was shot during an armed robbery of a Louth Credit Union on 25th January 2013.

Aaron Brady from County Armagh appeared before a special sitting of Dundalk District Court last night in relation to the murder.

According to reports, a number of members of the US Department of Homeland Security were also in attendance.

Earlier this year, the FBI had placed wanted posters in the Boston areas of Dorchester and Quincy, where it was believed the three suspects were on the run.

Another man has been arrested over the incident - but a third is believed to still be hiding out in the US.

Social media also implies the man may have been living in Yonkers, outside of New York City, for an amount of time.

Brady (27) has denied "any involvement" according to Detective Inspector Pat Marry.

The man was remanded in custody by Judge John Coughlan at Cloverhill District Court until 9th March.

Father of two Donohoe was the 87th member of An Garda Siochana to be murdered in the line of duty. The 41-year-old was ambushed by a five-man gang during a cash escort.

His widow Caroline was in court for the brief hearing.
