Patrick Kielty is gearing up for the 2025 "Toy Show". We have some predictions.RTE

Returning to our screens on Friday, December 5, the teaser for this year’s instalment sees Patrick boarding a spaceship of children who are prepping for the big night.

After beaming into the ship, Patrick says to Captain Cork that they’re just doing their final checks ahead of "the Toy Show", with children both at home and abroad getting ready for the big show.

From there, Patrick asks if they’re able to beam "The Toy Show" into Mars, and sure enough, a pair of aliens are gearing up for "The Toy Show".

While many are wondering if an intergalactic theme could be in store for this year’s broadcast, others are wondering what surprises Kielty might be hiding up his sleeve.

As self-proclaimed "Toy Show" aficionados, we here at Extra.ie are counting down our top predictions for the biggest night on Irish screens.

Kingfishr delight a young superfan

We’re calling it now: Kingfishr are primed for a "Toy Show" moment.

Whether it’s a stripped-back performance of Killeagh or a surprise walk-on to meet a starstruck kid reviewing music gadgets, the lads have all the makings of this year’s emotional highlight.

Expect tears, hugs and a nationwide patriotic ‘Awww!’

Troy Parrott pops in for a football surprise

Our money is on a big football reveal, specifically Ireland’s own Troy Parrott stepping out to surprise a young fan in the middle of a keepie-uppies demo.

Troy Parrott.

"The Toy Show" loves a sports cameo, and Parrott’s charm plus a football-mad kid is "Toy Show" gold.

Considering World Cup fever is quickly sweeping the nation, there’d be no better time for the star to get involved.

"KPop Demon Hunters" craze takes over

"KPop Demon Hunters".

We here at Extra.ie, predict a burst of neon, choreography, and dramatic posing as the kids do their best "KPop Demon Hunters" impressions.

There’s no denying that the songs have taken TikTok by storm, so we think it’s safe to expect Patrick to look both terrified and delighted as the mini-idols take over.

If you weren’t sick of hearing "Golden" by now, I’d brace yourself!

A Catherine Connolly-style keepie-uppies challenge

A gag begging to be repeated: tiny footballers out-skilling the adults.

We foresee a full-on Catherine Connolly tribute moment, aka Patrick challenging a group of kids to keepie-uppies and failing spectacularly while the audience roars.

It’s chaotic, wholesome, and totally topical.

Labubu’s and Dubai chocolate become the night’s "it" items

We’re predicting that the "Toy Show" will jump on two of the year’s most hyped trends: Labubu collectables and Dubai chocolate.

Between kids proudly showing off their rare, big-eyed Labubu figures and a tasting segment where Patrick pretends not to panic about melting luxury chocolate on live TV, these viral sensations are primed to get the whole "Toy Show" spotlight.

Expect nationwide demand to spike the next morning, and of course….one for everyone in the audience.
