You gotta feel sorry for Juan Williams.

He gets fired from politically correct NPR for admitting a basic truth,

When he gets on airplanes and sees people dressed in Muslim garb he gets nervous.

If he said he didn't I'd know he was lying.

The human condition is such that we measure fight or flight risks all the time.

It is how we evolved as any Darwinian will tell you.

Seeing Muslims in garb on planes connects us viscerally back to 9/11 and what happened.

It is unfair and we are able to overcome it by applying rational thought to it.

But does that mean that instinctively we don't feel a momentary tension and a flashback to 9/11 when a Muslim in full garb boards a plane?

Of course not but NPR wants us to believe their perfect species of human beings would never allow such an errant thought through their perfect brains.

Bullshit.

I was Irish in London in the 1970s and I remember the stares when I spoke after an IRA bomb atrocity.

Honestly I could not blame people for being a little concerned. Crazy killers were blowing up men, women and children in pubs in Birmingham and Guildford.

It was a very human reaction.

As was that of Juan Williams and everyone else I suspect.

Except the pluperfect people at NPR.

I don't lie plasticpaddy so keep digging, don't stop you are making progress. Remember they are claiming that they claim the revenue they get from their pbs affiliates is revenue, but most of that is from tax money and that is over 50% of their income. They purposely conceal and camouflage their dependence on our tax dollars, it is a nefarious shell game. I would put some links up but ic doesn't allow it.
npr coddles employees who hope someones grandchildren get aides & die but saying lunatic murderers killed people is bad. Low life, no class. Typical liberals. It doesn't matter what % of tax money they get. 1 dollar is to much. Defund PBS & NPR.
Actually Monsoonman, I admit I was wrong, upon further research up to 17% could be attributed to government sources, the remainder comes from entirely independent sources. Your claim of half is definitely incorrect. Not since the early 1980's has over 25% of its funding come from governmental sources.
Plasticpaddy: You need to peek below the talking points and delve into the facts. NPR gets more than 1/2 of its income from the satellite public broadcasting stations who broadcast the NPR propaganda. Most of the public broadcasting channels get the bulk of their money from, yep you guessed it: The US taxpayer.
Monsoonman, less than 5% of NPR's budget comes from government sources, care to rewrite your lie below?
Well said Dennis. He should have known better than bigotry
You never had any credibility dennis. Quoting mikey moore, you never will.
Michael Moore? Are you trying to win this argument?
Michael Moore points out that the war with "Islam" is a put-up job. Juan Williams certainly knows that, and his statements to the contrary are just lies.

Williams is now radioactive. He'll never get another job as a straight newsman; everybody knows him to be a sell-out without a conscience. I don't know how long he's planning on working, but he can forget about retiring to some sinecure spot as a Distinguished Professor of Journalism. And the only gigs he'll get as commencement speaker will be at colleges that frown on interracial dating.
br>Juan Williams did this to himself. Nobody forced him on the O'Reilly show to endorse racism against Arabs. He did this completely on his own.

Somebody on another website commented that Williams has burned his bridges. How long will it be before Hannity uses him as the same kind of punching bag "liberal" that Alan Colmes was?
The ceo of npr who fired juan is also spearheading an effort with george soros, to extract more taxes out of news organizations like Fox, in order to expand more government networks.
Let not the color of his skin pass him by.Dennis there's an interesting article by Moore on Huff post worth reading
Hopefully there are no other dennisq's. One is way to many.
I bet half the NY people on this site are from somewhere else anyway.
I'm glad to hear there is more than one person in NY with a clue. IC tends to make all New Yorkers look bad. I'll think deferent of NY in the future hancock.
Its not common in NY maloney, just this site maybe.
