Celtic Thunder.

International sensations Celtic Thunder return to North America this week with the launch of their eagerly awaited fall 2013 Mythology tour.

The show features live songs from Celtic Thunder’s top-selling world music CD and DVD, Mythology, released earlier this year, including  hits “My Land,” “Turning Away” and “Rocky Road to Dublin.”

Celtic Thunder completed an Australian tour earlier this year. The upcoming US tour also includes the first ever Celtic Thunder cruise, scheduled to set sail from Miami from November 2 to 7.

The Mythology tour includes the perfect blend of entertainment, ideology and Gaelic spirituality, providing a modern twist on the old Celtic storytelling tradition. The tour’s musical director used to be Phil Coulter but he has been replaced by David Munro, who also plays keyboards in the show.

Celtic Thunder’s six male soloists — Colm, Emmet, Keith, Ryan, George, and Neil — perform both solo and ensemble numbers. They are known for performing an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from traditional Irish fare such as “Danny Boy” and “Carrickfergus” to international hits such as “The Boys Are Back in Town” and “The Sound of Silence,” as well as original compositions by Munro.
