Irish movie superstars together for first time

This month Irish actor Brendan Gleeson is bringing Ireland’s leading men together to make the film version of Flann O'Brien’s masterpiece At Swim-Two-Birds. The dream cast will include Gabriel Byrne, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Cillian Murphy and Colin Farrell.

All four have worked with Gleeson before but have never appeared in a film together. Gleeson himself will make his directorial debut with the film, a coming-of-age tale about a lazy, frequently drunk 19-year-old Irish college student who lives with his killjoy uncle in Dublin.

The young man’s writing a second rate novel he’s too lazy to finish and things get sticky when the characters he’s created come to life and start to rebel against him.

Gleeson knows that each of these world famous Irish actors have genuine comic gifts (and Gleeson’s no shrinking violet himself) so expect something completely out of the ordinary. The film is currently in production in Ireland.

You can't read, merryman you bonehead. I didn't say I hadn't heard of those 5 actors. Read the comment properly you idiot.
Anybody, who hasn't heard of these 5 actors, not only lives under a rock, but a rock on different planet.
Ireland has been a watershed of amazing talent and excellent films with intriguing stories for decades. From The Commitments and Waking Ned Devine, to the American made, but essentially Irish and The Secret of Roan Inish and In America, these remain my favorite movies of all time. Brendan Gleeson is a master and I can't wait to see what he is doing
Brendan Gleeson fantastic Actor ,His Dad was born in Thurles Co Tipperary ,which makes me partial to him as i too was born there and know the family,,will look forward to the Film . good luck with the Directing ,you will do good ,we are hearing your Name more and more here in the States ,very proud of you ,,,
The title of this film is peculiar and the plot sounds uninteresting. Good Luck at the Box Office.
Where have you been "shrinnkie246"? Living under a rock?
