The couple have two new goldendoodle dogs – one male and one female - to replace their two dogs who were tragically run over on an airport runway last year while being walked by an assistant.
However, John and Kelly aren't prepared to settle for any bad behavior from the cute canines – who are a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle – and have sent them to strict behaviour classes to teach them how to act.
An insider told National Enquirer magazine: "John and Kelly spent $2,200 to send the new dogs – Audi and Charlie – to four weeks of doggie boot camp. They learned basic commands, and were even taught how to ring a bell when they need to go potty."
The couple recently welcomed their new son Benjamin into the world and admitted the baby had brought a "renewed spirit and purpose" to their lives following the tragic death of their 16-year-old son Jett two years ago.
John - who also has a 10-year-old daughter Ella Bleu with Kelly – said: "It's been uplifting. Especially when he smiles at me and seems contented in my arms. He's given the house a renewed spirit and purpose. He's brought us a new beginning and his presence has brought joy to all the people who have wanted the best for us.”
