Sean Mulveyhill, the football star with whom Phoebe Prince had a brief fling, turned on her, allowing other girls to bully her mercilessly. (Mulveyhill is pictured above sitting on ground wearing No. 25 after a high school game.)

Soon after Prince moved to South Hadley from rural County Clare, Ireland, Mulveyhill began dating her, and they were expected to go to the high school winter ball together.

But they broke up, and Mulveyhill apparently turned on her.

Mulveyhill was one of those charged yesterday by Prosecutor Betsy Scheibel in Prince's death by suicide. He was also charged with statutory rape, which is having sex with an underaged minor.

The key ringleaders among the girls were named in The Boston Globe as Kayla Narey, 17, and Ashley Longe, 16, who took great offense when Prince began dating the star football player.

Globe columnist Kevin Cullen names two other "mean girls" -- Flannery Mullins, 16, and Sharon Chanon Velazquez, 16, and their male friend, Austin Renaud, 18. Renaud is also charged with sex with a minor.

God Bless you Phoebe. Justice will come! We were will do our best to ensure that that happens.
What a despicable cad this guy is!! He's even worse than the girls involved, which is saying something. I hope the jury and judge see bullying as the heinous crime (or set of crimes) it is and give these teens some jail time. Consensual sex or not, this guy was such a piece of crap I hope he has to spend the rest of his life as a registered sex offender. Then he'll always be reminded of what he did to that poor girl.
Phoebe didn't think it was rape. She thought it was consensual sex.
Set a high bond!!! Get married in JAIL!!!
I think the number on Sean Mulveyhill's jersey is, in reality, his IQ! When convicted, he will make some man in prison a lovely wife! Now THAT's justice---the RAPER being RAPED!!! Ya gotta love it. Isn't Karma a wonderful thing? Can we all say in unison: "Bend over Sean".
cut his balls off
Makes you wonder how these kids are brought up. Maybe the parents didn't have time to teach them what is right and what is wrong? Sad state of affairs that you hear more and more of this happening.
Why are the Christians fighting to prevent anti-bullying legislation in American schools?
TWW is fully commiting to the "STOP CYBER-BULLYING" initiative in memory of Phoebe Prince. Read my blog and show your support by forwarding it to everyone you know. Spread the message & STOP the Cyber-bullying here: http://www.topworldwebsite.com/blog/twweditorsblog/3594
tie them to the car and drag them around the town till theres nothing left.....every last one of em lowlife dirtbags....
i cant wait till those spoiled lil brats get locked up and get a peice of what theyve been dishing out.
I’m a bit confused at the person who keeps asking if this would happen to a Jewish person? Every ethnic group has bullies and bullied. What would you call the Holocaust if not extreme and fatal bullying? Ethnicity wasn’t a feature of this particular case, several of the bullies having Irish names.
You are all pathetic cowards. I hope you are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Maybe when your sitting in a jail cell or juvie center, being preyed upon by the other inmates just as you preyed on Phoebe, you'll truly recognize the tortured exhistence you caused her to endure before you drove her to end her precious life. Get ready to reap your Karma.
My first question is who raised these animals? My second question is why does someone keep bringing up references that this would have been different if it happened to a Jewish person? This is America, I was raised Catholic and I have to say I have never been picked on because of my religious upbringing. This was a case of jealously and bullying, it had nothing to do with Phoebe being Irish. It would have happened if she were any other 15 years old girl, unfortunately.
they should be charged as adults. As severe as possible. there is no sense in this bullying. I have a grandaughter in high school it is possible for her to be bullied.
