The star of “300” and “Bounty Hunter”, Gerard Butler, will take on the role of a foul-mouthed leprechaun in an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Coriolanus”.
The movie will star a host of top names such as Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet, Seann William Scott, Elizabeth Banks and Johnny Knoxville.
The proud Scottish actor was also spotted celebrating St Patrick’s Day in New York.
With a large cheesy grin and sporting a leprechaun hat perhaps he was trying to get into the spirit for his upcoming film.
Describing his role in the movie Butler said “I play the most perverse, disturbing, disgusting, foul-mouthed leprechaun you could ever imagine.” He also said that it will feature a lot of swearing.
Using the same technology as “Benjamin Button” they will superimpose Butler’s face on to the body of another actor. Laughing at the thought of such a transformation he said “they're going to put my head into a little person. It’s very funny. It’s insane.”
The project is being led by, “Shallow Hal” director, Peter Farrelly and is expected to be released this year.
