Stephen Hunt could be on the move from cash-strapped Hull City back to the Premier League with newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies are poised to make a 3.5 ($5) million bid for the Irish international.

The Waterford man is currently laid up with a foot injury that might keep him out of action until the fall.

Hunt allegedly had a gentleman’s agreement with Hull chairman Adam Pearson that if he stayed with the Tigers and they were relegated, which was the case, that the club would not stand in his way if an offer came in.

That, aligned with Hull’s huge debt, makes his departure inevitable.

Wolves, whose 5 9( $7.2) million January bid for the Irish winger was refused, are said to also be interested, but West Brom are at the front of the line.

While is it advantageous for Hunt to move back to Premier League, he may be swapping one relegation battle for another with the Albion, who are tipped to struggle on their return to the top tier of English football.
