Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly focuses on tempo and disposition during early camp

Brian Kelly, Notre Dame coach

Brian Kelly spelled it out this week: tempo was the theme of his first year, but disposition is his focus in season two.

'Most of our scripting has been focused on running the football, play-action, and then defending the run,' Kelly tad the Chicago Tribune.

'We've called it building a toughness with our football team this week. We know we can play fast, we know we can spread it out and do those things. Now we want our guys focused on toughness as a football team.'

Hey, Brian Kelly, Tommy Rees, not Dayne Crist, should start at quarterback for Fighting Irish

Notre Dame's Brian Kelly needs to name his starting quarterback because it's Dayne Crist

No surprise as Notre Dame's Brian Kelly reinstates Michael Floyd

'I liked what we did as an offensive unit running the football. We’re going against a very stout defense. When I look at our ability to run the football, I'm judging it knowing that we showed we can play really good run defense. The defense flew around and played physical. I liked the way we ran the ball and the way we flew around on defense.'
