Defending British Open champion Padraig Harrington finished at three over for two rounds in the British Open today, making the cut for the final two days of the golf tournament.

Meanwhile fellow Irishmen Rory McIlroy and Paul McGinley also made the cut.

Harrington and McIlroy were set to see out the weekend at the Open Championship after matching rounds of 74 left them three over.

Paul McGinley was also safe as windy conditions proved testing, carding a 71 and in the clubhouse for two over.
